Main Building Parents,

I am excited to let you know of a new program available to all parents with Internet access.  The program is called “Progressbook” and it is a web based grading system, which allows you to see your child’s grades and missing assignments in each class.  This is a new program for North Baltimore Main Building and I am sure there will be a few bugs to work out, however the positive side of this is for parents to be more active in knowing where their child is succeeding and helping to keep them on track educationally.  We will be opening up Progressbook on a limited basis for grades only at this point in time.  After gaining parent feedback and determining the positives of this program we will consider utilizing some other components of the program. 

The details:

• Parents will be able to view students’ averages for each class.
• Parents will be able to view individual assignments and grades for each assignment.
• Parents will be able to view students’ missing assignments.
• Parents will only have access to their children’s information.

• Parents can pick up their username and password personally in the Main Office starting at parent/teacher conferences.
• Parents are responsible for keeping track of passwords and usernames. 
• The High School Technology Coordinator will reset passwords upon request, however this will only occur at the start of each semester.
• Progressbook is available for all Main Building parents.
• Teachers will post assignments to the web typically within a week. (Larger assignments may take more time – Exams, Essays, Projects, etc.)
• Mr. Kozina and Mr. Csortos will be available during conferences to help parents learn to access Progressbook.
