Mrs. Karen Dishong Sixth Grade Science and Language Arts “I enjoy teaching because every day is different. You don’t sit at a desk every day with the same routine. You have different events and activities to look forward to each week.” One thing that she and the students look forward to is doing science experiments together.	Mrs. Brooke Forsyth Sixth Grade Math and Language Arts Teaching math, Mrs. Forsyth is able to share her excitement of learning math with her students. About the students, she says, “I enjoy teaching sixth grade because the students are still kids but learning to be adults. They can be independent, but still look to us teachers for guidance.”

Mrs. Kara Cikotte Sixth Grade Social Studies and Language Arts Miss Long wants to be the teacher she never had. “When I was in school, I never got excited about reading or social studies. As a teacher, I want my students to see how fun learning can be, but that it’s also valuable in real life. I’m always trying new things to keep my students interested, learn how to think, and to show how the information applies to their life.”
